The usage explorer allows you to better understand and be able to analyze your usage on Namespace looking at different filters and breakdowns.

Understanding your usage better

On your usage page, there are some breakdowns available that show your usage over the selected period broken down by:
  • Purpose i.e. github-runner, builder
  • Platform: linux/amd64, linux/arm64, macos/arm64 and windows/amd64
  • Shape: all shapes run by you appear, more information on shapes here
  • GitHub Repository: usage per GitHub Repositories
  • GitHub User: usage per GitHub User
  • GitHub Workflow: usage per GitHub Workflow
You can pick any two breakdown options at the same time. Clicking on the ‘Explore’ button on the top right will allow you to dive even further into your usage.

The usage explorer

The usage explorer allows you to understand your usage over time, providing you with breakdowns that will help you understand where your usage comes from and how you might be able to optimize it. Combining multiple breakdowns, filters, displays and periods to drill down your usage can be very powerful. All those different views can also be downloaded as a csv.
