Product and Engineering Lead

About the role

Lead the product and engineering vision at Namespace as we scale from serving thousands to millions of developers. You'll drive product strategy, manage engineering teams, and ensure we're building the developer infrastructure platform that transforms how software is shipped.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance strategic thinking with technical execution, working closely with founders to shape the future of developer tools while building and mentoring a world-class engineering team.

What you'll do

  • Define and execute product strategy for developer infrastructure and CI/CD platform
  • Lead and scale engineering teams across infrastructure, product, and systems
  • Drive technical architecture decisions and platform scaling initiatives
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to understand developer workflow needs
  • Manage product roadmaps, prioritization, and cross-functional project delivery
  • Build engineering culture, processes, and hiring practices as we scale
  • Work closely with founders on company strategy and technical vision
  • Represent Namespace at conferences, with customers, and in the developer community

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of engineering experience with 3+ years in technical leadership roles
  • Strong background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or developer tools
  • Experience scaling engineering teams from 5-50+ engineers
  • Proven track record in product management and roadmap execution
  • Deep understanding of developer workflows, CI/CD, and infrastructure challenges
  • Experience with high-growth startups or scale-up environments
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Hands-on technical skills with modern languages (Go, TypeScript, Rust)
