About the role

Namespace provides high-performance developer services that enable engineering teams across industries to ship better code faster. Our flagship product is specialized hosted cloud infrastructure optimized specifically for build and test workflows—tasks critical to every software development lifecycle. Teams using Namespace consistently achieve build and test runtime improvements ranging from 2x to 10x.

We build full stack: from our own hardware, up through our global compute workload scheduler, storage systems, application integrations, and more. We build developer infrastructure, but we treat it as production: 24x7 availability, and high performance with tight SLAs.

As the Head of Engineering at Namespace, you'll lead the technical vision, execution, and growth of our engineering organization. This is a strategic role, central to scaling our high-performance developer services and infrastructure. You'll build and mentor an exceptional engineering team, foster a culture of rapid iteration, technical excellence, and customer obsession, and guide the evolution of our core technologies and infrastructure.

What you'll do

  • Set the technical vision and direction for Namespace's engineering team, aligning engineering goals with business objectives
  • Grow and mentor manage a high-performing team of engineers across product, infrastructure, and platform engineering
  • Ensure scalable, performant, and reliable systems, driving continuous improvement in our engineering practices
  • Collaborate closely with product, sales, and infrastructure teams to align technology decisions with company strategy

  • Demonstrated experience scaling engineering teams in high-growth startup environments
  • Proven track record building and operating complex infrastructure or developer-focused products
  • Exceptional leadership and mentorship skills; ability to attract, grow, and retain talent
  • Strong strategic thinking, capable of guiding both tactical execution and long-term technical direction
